Scheduled to take place from April 15 to 17, 2024, at the Bomas of Kenya, the Third National Wage Bill Conference carries the theme "Towards 35 Percent." This theme reflects the collective effort required to bring the public wage bill to a sustainable level, aligning with the provisions of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012.

The conference aims to achieve a crucial milestone: reducing the public wage bill to 35 percent of revenue by 2028. This objective, while ambitious, is essential for optimizing resources and fostering economic growth and public service delivery.

Key highlights of the conference will include:

  • Presentation and discussion of current trends and challenges in managing the public wage bill
  • Development of actionable strategies to enhance productivity and fiscal sustainability
  • Engagement with top leadership from public service institutions at national and county levels, alongside private sector stakeholders

The media plays a pivotal role in shaping public discourse and promoting accountability. The Steering Committee acknowledges and appreciates the media's contribution to the public wage bill dialogue and invites continued engagement and coverage of the conference.

In conclusion, the Third National Wage Bill Conference signifies a united effort towards achieving fiscal responsibility and efficient resource allocation. With collaboration and commitment from all stakeholders, we are poised to realize our national aspirations.

God bless you, and God bless Kenya.
